"Love what you do or you will lose to someone who does." I forgot who said it, but I felt it was true and it has stuck with me. Not unlike the trope, "Do what you love and you will never work a day in your life", but with a transposed premise. I would love to know the percentage of workers who are doing the thing they said they wanted to do when they were 3 or 13. When I was 13, I wanted to be Michael Jordan and James Hetfield. I wanted to beat the Knicks at MSG by 11pm and play a sold-out Meadowlands by midnight. Plans b, c, d, etc. have not been as glamourous, but I have lived and learned much. To love what you do leverages the "act" of love - sacrifice. Of which I find no greater satisfaction.
So, here is to all of you loving what you do and putting in the BS&T - Happy Labor Day!!
